TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State senior Yasmine Abbes has qualified for the U20 European Cross Country Championships and will be representing The Netherlands on Dec. 12 in Dublin, Ireland. It meant a lot to me to have qualified. After not racing for six months because of injury, I couldn't have imagined a better comeback than this. Hard work really paid off, Abbes said. This will be the third time Abbes has been a part of the European Championships, as she competed in the U18 in 2018 and the U20 in 2019. Abbes represents the AV Club and qualified for the championship on Sunday with a time of 14.55.0 in the 4.3k in her first race back from injury.
