BESSEMER A Tuesday-night shooting in Bessemer has left one man dead. According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, 24-year-old Dusharme Mandell Jones sustained gunshot wound injuries during a reported assault inside his residence in the 1300 block of Fairfax Avenue in Bessemer. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene on Tuesday night at 9:11 p.m. The Bessemer Police Department is investigating the case as a homicide, and no suspects are in custody at this time. ....

(WBRC) - Bessemer police confirm they are investigating a shooting that left one person dead. Police say they responded to a shooting inside a home in the 1300 block of Fairfax Avenue Tuesday night just before 9 p.m. Arriving officers found one male victim with gunshot wounds.
