I have twice been a student at Bishop Auckland College, have served on the governing body for nearly a decade and count myself as a neighbour, living as I do almost directly opposite the main campus.
With close ties to the college which stretch back over 30 years, it is going to be strange at first handing over the reins to a new Chair of the College Corporation. I remain very passionate about the college and its continued success.
But having now served the maximum two four-year terms I now have to stand down from the board of governors. ....
