Around this time last year, West Grey took a step closer to building a new headquarters for its municipal police service.
That step was initiated with the purchase of an 8.45-acre (3.8 hectare) property located on Durham Road West at the intersection of Grey Road 4 at a cost of $1.1 million.

At the Dec. 1 West Grey council meeting, a delegation was made by Akiko Currie, lead architect, and Keith Currie, designated project manager, of Formworks Inc. Architects. In their presentation to council, it was stated that the new station is still in preliminary design stages.
