Take part in A Vision for Dunnamaggin - Kilkenny People

); ); Dunnamaggin Development Group is currently undertaking a community-wide survey and are asking everyone who lives, works, learns or wants to have their say about Dunnamaggin to take part. The survey runs from now until May 15. It s part of a bigger process to co-create Dunnamaggin’s five-year development plan. The development plan will look at how to sustainably enhance the village through improved green space, heritage and community amenities. Many villages across Ireland face the challenge of creating job opportunities alongside declining services and activities for all ages. The Dunnamaggin Development Group wants to ensure the village remains a good place to live for future generations.

Dunnamaggin Community Spirit Award for committed volunteer

Kilkenny People news@kilkennypeople.ie Celia Moran receiving the second annual Community Spirit Award from members of Dunnamaggin Development Group on Sunday, December 6 ); ); Dunnamaggin Development Group has presented its second annual Community Spirit Award to Celia Moran, who recently retired after 40 years volunteering in her community of Dunnamaggin Parish. Nominated by Tom Hickey for her voluntary work over the past four decades, but in particular for her involvement with the church, Dunnamaggin Development Group in collaboration with Father Ferghus and the church committee surprised Celia on Sunday, December 6 with a presentation after mass. Margaret O’Shea, her longtime friend and colleague, spoke beautifully about Celia and her late husband Gus’ dedication to community.
