Businessman's double Covid tragedy as parents die in same hour

A former Peterhead man died with Covid-19 in the same hour that his wife also passed away, his devastated son has revealed.
Graeme Carling lost his parents Graeme senior and Margaret in separate hospitals in the same evening.
Mrs Carling, 65, was diagnosed with Covid-19 just after Christmas. In early January she was given just 24 hours to live but fought the disease for another fortnight.
Meanwhile her 66-year-old husband – former chief executive of North East Ice and Cold Storage in Peterhead – was admitted to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee complaining of a sore head. He tested positive for coronavirus but seemed to respond well to oxygen treatment. ....
