Randy Grossman Replaces Robert Brewery as U.S. Attorney for Southern District of California – NBC 7 San Diego

Brewer called Grossman an outstanding prosecutor and leader with vast experience as a trial attorney.
According to the U.S. Attorney s Office, Grossman s legal career began as a deputy district attorney with the San Diego County District Attorney s Office, where he tried more than 70 cases including homicides and other crimes of violence over the course of eight years. He then left the office to enter private practice at two international law firms.
In March of last year, he began serving as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Border Enforcement and the Major Frauds/Public Corruption Section of the local U.S. Attorney s Office. ....

Another top California donor to last year s reelection campaign for Donald Trump is backing the California gubernatorial hopes of San Diego ex-mayor Kevin Faulconer.
Probity International, a real estate development outfit run by Robert Zarnegin of Beverly Hills, came up with $32,400 on February 9 for the Faulconer for Governor Exploratory Committee 2020, state campaign disclosure filings show.
Majestic executive vice president Kent Valley gave Faulconer $20,000 on February 9.
The
Los Angeles Times reports Zarnegin, who built the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel and a shopping complex on tony Rodeo Drive, gave $375,000 to the Trump cause last year. That placed him fourth among the then president s California givers, with $15,000 more than fifth place donor Jamie McCourt, the Dodgers ex-owner whom Trump made ambassador to France and Monaco. ....

WASHINGTON The House on Thursday exiled Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene from congressional committees, blacklisting the first-term Georgian for endorsing the executions of Democrats and spreading dangerous and bigoted misinformation even as fellow Republicans rallied around her.
The House voted 230 to 199 to remove Ms. Greene from the Education and Budget Committees, with only 11 Republicans joining Democrats to support the move. The action came after Ms. Greene’s past statements and espousing of QAnon and other conspiracy theories had pushed her party to a political crossroads. ....
