For Sibulele Siko-Shosha, founder of The Dumile Group, storytelling is the pulse that connects people. And she should know. Her media career started in journalism when, after freelancing for Move Magazine she moved on to become content manager for African Leader and Acumen Magazine. In 2007, she become the youngest and first black female editor of business publication, Black Business Quarterly. Three years later, she launched her own company, Dumile Brand Boutique, and after that, Siko-Shosha branched out into the the production side of broadcasting and advertising, founding The Narrators Africa. Families of jailed soldiers fume MASERU-THE families of two Basotho soldiers who have been languishing in a South African remand prison for the past ten months say their patience is wearing thin. Privates Rorisang Moepi and Dumile Tšoeunyane have been detained in an Eastern Cape jail since July when they were arrested by the South African army. The duo is charged with illegally entering South Africa, stock theft, robbery and possession of unlicensed firearms. They however denied the charges, insisting that they were on patrol and only crossed the border to pursue rustlers who had stolen cattle from Lesotho. ....
Young entrepreneur makes strides in advertising industry By Dieketseng Maleke Share SIBULELE Siko-Shosha is a 36-year-old Cape Town-born entrepreneur who owns an advertising agency called Dumile Brand Boutique. BRO caught up with her to chat about her current projects and the challenges she has faced in a male-dominated industry. Siko-Shosha said she opened her advertising agency in 2008 during the global economic crisis. I was ’smart’ enough to start open my company at that time. In my company’s infancy, I had to deal with companies cutting down on advertising budgets.” Siko-Shosha said while things were not looking up for her she persevered and remembered why she started her business. ....
