President johnson signed the Voting Rights act of 1965 into law 52 years ago this month on august 6, 1965, and its widely considered to be the most significant and successful pieces of civil rights legislation enacted and has been used to combat Voter Suppression tactics targeting communities of color and limited English Proficiency voters. I received briefings on the Strategic Forces subcommittee on a weekly basis. We are told about the classified information we are getting and it is part of how i make my judgments on the floor and in the votes we take in the committee. Theres no excuse for secretary clintons use of a private server. I have said that over and over again. However, i do believe that secretary clinton does have the experience and certainly the relationships in the congress to move our country forward. She knows the world leaders.
