Neighbors described this rodeo fire that broke out near highway 80 incoming skyway just before 2 oclock monday afternoon. What began as 2 small fires quickly merged into one in burned 230 acres because of strong winds wind at least one of the fires to get away from us and it burned past fortunately. They burn past all the petrochemical infrastructure. You can see behind me and also thankfully burn past a quite a few houses in north circular is. And headed out into the wilderness area thats bounded by interstate 80 on this side. Coming skyway to the north and highway 4 to the south and to the east as steve hill with Contra Costa County fire explains the wind fueled this fire but also push it away from homes nearby.
