Tiburon pastor William Rankin co-founded nonprofit to bring HIV/AIDS care to Africa

The Rev. William “Bill” Wright Rankin, a longtime rector at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church who helped implement health-care programs in resource-deprived regions in Africa as cofounder of nonprofit GAIA Global Health, died July 22 at his Tiburon home of chronic respiratory disease. The Thai Film Archive is holding an online talk to mark the 25th year of the Thai Short Film and Video Festival via its Facebook today at 3pm.

Held virtually on May 25 and livestreamed on ABC’s YouTube channel, the American Botanical Council’s 16th annual Celebration and Botanical Excellence Awards honored individuals and companies who have made outstanding contributions to the herbal and botanical communities.
