The site as it is now after workmen left this morning WORK to install an eyesore 5G mast on a Halesowen road has been halted, bringing a temporary reprieve for residents. The 15-metre mast came on a lorry and temporary traffic lights went up in Fairfield Road this morning (Monday May 24), after the closing date for objections only expired on Friday (May 21). Dudley Council s planning office told the workmen, from telecommunications company Three, to leave the site today, after being contacted by angry residents. Darren Bastable, of Fairfield Road, said he was horrified to see the mast arrive this morning, after he submitted an objection to the siting of the mast last week with the deadline for comments on Friday.
