The initiative to rename Ghaziabad gained momentum after Allahabad became Prayagraj in 2018. The proposal is now on the municipal corporation s agenda, offering two options, Gajnagar and Harnandi Nagar. Initiated by a BJP councillor, the proposal, backed by historical significance, may find favor.
