Parts of Bedford County were covered in more than a foot of snow during the first winter storm of the year on Wednesday. Meteorologist Rob Radzanowski of the National Weather Service in State College said 13.5 inches of snow was reported north of Osterburg following the snowstorm that lasted from Wednesday morning through the night. Most of Bedford County received between 8 and 12 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service. Reports near Everett listed up to 11 inches of snow, while another report listed 8 inches in Wolfsburg. In surrounding counties, Altoona had 12 inches of snow, while Johnstown had 8.5 inches, according to the weather serviceâs reports. ....
