bridges are problem-free. getting word of a trouble spot in hayward. we ll have details coming up. we have breaking news out of hayward. police and the chp are searching for the driver who smashed this car into a power pole leading to outages in the area. we re told the driver sped away during an attempted traffic stop on interstate 880. the chase spilled on the city streets there. the car then hit this power pole at tennyson and the driver jumped out leaving a child and passenger behind in the car. by the way, they are not seriously injured. san bernardino county sheriff s deputies are caught on camera beating a suspected horse thief. deputies moved in and used a taser after the man was tossed from the horse. then at least two deputies kicked and punched the suspect even though he was on the ground with his hands behind his back. more deputies showed up and the beating continued for about two minutes. the suspect s girlfriend is mystified by the chain of events. ....
