Fullerton Settles Lawsuit with Bloggers Who Accessed Private Documents 
The City of Fullerton ended a longstanding lawsuit May 12 against a local blog and two of its contributors.
The case dates back to 2019 when Joshua Ferguson and David Curlee of Friends for Fullerton’s Future blog reportedly posted confidential documents that showed the city engaging in questionable conduct.
In response, the city issued a cease-and-desist letter to have the documents taken down, and when the orders weren’t followed, the city sued to have all documents returned to city hall. It also obtained a restraining order to prevent more documents from being publicly posted, although it was overturned shortly after. ....

Drop docus at GMC offices to get death certificate in 10 days | Noida News


Ghaziabad: As the number of deaths from Covid go up, the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC) is turning to technology for help in the issuing of death certificates. Those looking to get a death certificate can now drop the relevant documentation at the drop-box put up in five zonal offices of the GMC. The Corporation says the death certificate will be ready to be downloaded in 10 days.
The move is expected to benefit especially those whose relatives or kin have died at home. At present, getting a death certificate is cumbersome as one has to visit the GMC office and submit all the documents, after which getting the certificate takes several trips back to the office, which is also working at reduced strength. ....

The court system disconnected applications from the internet on May 1 after a cybersecurity alert on April 29 pointed to unusual activity, it said in a statement Tuesday. Someone outside the network placed malware on the system, including four servers and two computers, according to the court system.

The cyberattack and resulting disconnection of online applications disrupted electronic court filings, online payments and video hearings. The Courtview site, used to look up records, and some features of the court system’s website remained offline Tuesday. ....
