back in september. uber ceo said even with the launch of self-driving cars, he does not see the demand for drivers shrinking any time soon. uber has said in the past they are a job creator. are self-driving cars defeating the purpose? i know it s going to be a while before that actually happens. but when uber was first on the scene and there was an argument, their drivers, they should be paying to get taxi limousine medallions which are really expensive, they mailed the argument, no, we are creating entrepreneurs across cities. this is so important. well now are they changing their tune? i think uber has to say this and in ten years we might see a difference. my problem with the driverless car. it s a little different than the driverless truck. is this something that we really need? the technology it reminds me of is not disruptive improvement. it reminds me of the automatic checkout thing. at cvs? it s the worst.
