If you re looking to commemorate Anzac Day 2021 on the Fraser Coast, here are the times and places of the ceremonies being held around the region this Sunday.
Maryborough
Dawn Service is at 5:30am at the Maryborough Cenotaph, Queens Park.
The Anzac Day march will leave the Maryborough RSL in Lennox Street at 8.50am for the main 9.30am service at the Cenotaph.
The Maryborough march will include community groups and schools alongside service personnel and ex-service personnel.
Hervey Bay
The dawn service commences 5:15am Freedom Park, Main Street, Pialba.
The Hervey Bay march leaves the RSL at 10am for the main service at 10:30am at Freedom Park. ....

Next stage of boat ramp upgrades to start

The next stage of a boat ramp carpark upgrade will start this month, adding 68 new carparking spaces for boaters, just before the winter tourist season kicks in.
Stage two of the $1.5 million project, funded by both the Queensland Government and Fraser Coast Regional Council, follows stage one, where 13 carpark spaces were added next to the River Heads boat ramp.
It also comes after a combined investment of $1.59 million worth of works to the River Heads boat ramp carpark, by the State Government and Fraser Coast Regional Council, happened only two years ago.
In the second stage of River Heads boat ramp upgrades, 68 carpark spaces will be added, with the works expected to take about three and a half months to complete. ....

The historic Bundaberg home that was moved from Woondooma St to River Heads now comes with stunning ocean views.
The site the home sat on at 44 Woondooma St.

According to David Wright House Removers and Demolition, the home has now been moved and stumped at its new location.

A stunning old Queenslander has found a new home on the Fraser Coast after being moved via truck from Bundaberg.
Formerly located at 44 Woondooma St in Bundaberg, the loading of the house onto a truck caused a social media sensation this week.
Bundaberg residents shared fond memories of walking and driving past the home for decades.
Vanessa Hair, who shared photos of the removal of the house on Facebook, said while it was sad to see the Bundaberg home being moved from the area, she was relieved it was not being demolished.
According to realestate.com.au, the house sold for $275,000 in August last year. ....
