Posted Thursday, April 8, 2021 1:03 pm The Ely Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first-ever Drive-thru Job Fair on Thursday, April 15 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. For the past two weeks, the Chamber has actively sought information about job openings from its members, and there are numerous job opportunities available. Each job seeker will receive a packet of information containing a list of job openings, workforce resources, a resume template, a general job application that the Chamber will send out to its entire membership, and a Business & Visitor Guide. Several special resources job seekers can utilize in their search for employment include resume review from the Ely Chamber of Commerce. Email or stop-in with your resume and Chamber staff can review and provide guidance on fine-tuning it. CQ Squared Consulting, LLC is providing several small group mock interviews. ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WTVD) A line of cars spilled onto Independence Drive in Rocky Mount on Tuesday hoping to land a new job. I was here probably around 8:30. So I waited a long time. But it was worth it, said Benita Jones, of Rocky Mount. A total of 350 people signed up to participate in the North Carolina DMV drive through job fair, and 350 others secured a spot on the waitlist. All of them looking for new opportunities in a pandemic-safe way. We didn t want to do it virtually. We wanted it to be a little more personal touch. So the drive through was our next option as far as what we thought would work well for us, NCDOT Deputy HR Director Amanda Olive said. ....
Dawson County Area – Dawson Area Development (DAD) will host a Drive Thru Job Fair at the Dawson County Opportunity Center (1501 Plum Creek Parkway) in Lexington on Friday December 11, 2020 from 10:00AM – 1:00pm. Attendees of the Drive Thru Job Fair will have the opportunity to explore area employers that are currently hiring without leaving their car. DAD staff will provide attendees with a bag containing information from employers who are hiring, while remaining socially distant and safe. This fair will be the first of a short rotating series in the Dawson County Area. The second one will take place in Cozad in February and the third one will be in April in Gothenburg.
