Conor McGregor forked out a whopping €1.9m for Dublin bar

THE exact amount of money Conor McGregor paid for his pub in Dublin can finally be revealed – €1.9m.
The revelation is made in auctioneer Lisney/Morrissey’s Licensed Premises report for 2020, which discloses that 13 pubs sold in Dublin last year for a total of over €41m compared to 16 transactions totaling €57m in 2019.

It was a very different picture for pub sales elsewhere. No notable sales were recorded in the cities of Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford and Kilkenny, said the report.
The provincial market had continued to struggle with limited appetite expressed from outside of the local community and the closure of unviable pubs in areas where there was an oversupply of competing licensed premises. ....
