Lawrence. Just walking out the door you can feel the winds and smell the smoke. The temperatures are very mild. We have those offshore winds kicking in. In fact our mount vaca cam you can see those winds whipping around. This is about 3,000 feet. So blustery winds across the tops of the mountains. Youre looking at winds gusting to 54 Miles Per Hour right now in the Oakland Hills, 36 in fairfield, 30 in napa and 26 Miles Per Hour in livermore. Red flag warnings are up above 1,000 feet across the bay area. We are seeing some very dry northeasterly winds with strong gusty winds and the humidity levels are very, very dry. Ktvu channel 2 news. In San Francisco, a man was hit and killed by a car today on the same day that the city was Holding Hearings on a new Safety Initiative for pedestrians. Police say the man was crossing sunset boulevard near yorba street late this morning when he was struck and the impact was horrible. Ktvus David Stevenson has been there all day and david, there is a crosswalk nearby. Reporter thats right. I just gathered new information, they identified the victim at 78yearold, isaac of San Francisco. The accident took place on the boulevard just below me and quickly became a large crime scene. The calls came into San Franciscos police and Fire Departments at 11 00 a. M. This Toyota Corolla struck and killed a pedestrian on sunset boulevard. The impact wedging the victims body in the windshield and knocking the shoes off his feet. Its horrible, an innocent person taken. Very sad. Theres been a terrible accident involving a church bus on tennessees i41. The bus filled with seniors crashed into a semi and an suv. At least eight are dead tonight. More than a dozen injured. State troopers say a church bus blew a tire and crossed the median, slamming into a tractortrailer and Sport Utility vehicle. It was a loud boom. It sounded like an explosion. I was several miles away. Lets start with video first. Miami, im going to show you pictures of last nights rain. This was not that system. But it was loosely wrapped around the Northern Edge of that system. And im showing the rest of the country the rain you got in western dade last night, in the six to eight rainfall range. This is what were expecting on the gulf coast. And there will be heavy rain on the eastern seaboard, monday and tuesday next week. Lets deal with what this system is actually spreading in here.
