The Year of the Ox begins Feb. 12 and continues through Feb. 26, culminating with the Lantern Festival. In years past, New Peking Palace in Falmouth has greeted the Lunar New Year with a buffet containing lucky foods, such as fish to increase prosperity, dumplings for wealth, sweet rice balls for family togetherness and happiness and long, unbroken noodles for longevity.
