A 10-year-old student from the city has set a new world record by becoming the youngest PADI-certified Junior Open Water Diver. Dwit A. Nandu completed the certification just one day after his 10th birthday. The achievement was announced at Temple Adventures in Pondicherry, where Dwit underwent his training. Scuba diving certification is regulated by PADI, an organization that operates in 186 countries. Dwit s accomplishment makes him the youngest Junior Open Water Diver in the world. Scuba diving runs in the Nandu family, with Dwit s father and elder brother also certified divers. ....
