Jul 5, 2021 Julius Espat The Ministry of Infrastructure Development will be executing a scaled-down road works project on the Caracol Road. According to Minister Julius Espat, his Ministry has deferred phase two of the project, but after they did a review of the plans in place they were able to recuperate twenty-eight million dollars in savings. He says they are now they are using that money to execute a reduced version of much needed road upgrades.
Julius Espat, Minister of Infrastructure Development & Housing “Therefore, a comprehensive design review of those portions of the Caracol Road project not under construction, meaning lot 1C and three lots under phase two was done; this resulted in substantial cost savings combined with a renegotiated combined with a supervision consultancy, a total savings of twenty-eight million dollars was achieved, a portion which is reflected in this contract lot 1C.
