Mike as you said a garcia, the biggest storm of the season so far with the possibility and that risk of flash flooding, damaging winds and a lot of snow expected for the sierra giving you a look here from ktvu, where we started out with mostly clear skies and of very d conditions all add, have nowbeay that cloud cover will be dropping. Heres a look at the storm. You can see areas of the Pacific Northwest Northern California and if we move in a little bit closer, we are beginning to see that moistening as well. Were looking at areas over the north bay areas in along the pendant peninsula, just whats going on here. It is so cold out there thats no levels are fairly low. Got a little bit of a rush rain snow mix right over our heels in the north bay just west of saint halina. Meanwhile taking a look at the coast and along the peninsula, perhaps a few sprinkles already falling there. This is just thehe winds are a little breezy, but not bad. The Kempner Volunteer Fire Department raised $47,500 during this yearâs annual auction and barbecue, setting a new record.
Since 1980, the fire department has held a barbecue and auction on the first Saturday in March every year to raise funds for the department.
A critical part of the community, the volunteer fire department relies mostly on the generosity of the community to keep it operational. This yearâs event was pushed back to April 24, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The fire department raises money at the annual event by selling a barbecue plate or box to the community. This yearâs barbecue plate included brisket, potato salad and more.
