Pending books begin with jeffersons memoir and 18 cents have written books. Prior to the 20th century memoirs were rare grants were the exception. Jimmy carter the author of 25 books including Public Policy and Foreign Policy and a novel and also a Childrens Book which was illustrated and then appeared on book tv afterwords where he discussed the white house diaries he kept while in office 1977 to 1981.
