Douglas County man arrested in Nicaragua extradited back to Nebraska

(Douglas County, NE) The number one fugitive on the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Most Wanted List is back in Nebraska.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says on Tuesday, 29 year old Adam Hawhee was brought back to Douglas County by deputies. Hawhee was being held in Miami after being arrested in Nicaragua in April. Hawhee is facing two counts of Child Enticement and 26 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
In December of 2020, the DCSO received the two felony warrants for Hawhee. DCSO says initial attempts to locate Hawhee in the Omaha area were unsuccessful. The Sheriff s Office says during the investigation, it was determined that Hawhee may have fled the state and possibly the country. With assistance from the United States Marshals Service, DCSO determined that Hawhee had fled the United States to Nicaragua. Omaha fugitive found in Nicaragua returned to the United States

(Omaha, NE) The number one fugitive on the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Most Wanted List is back in the United States after being apprehended in Nicaragua.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says on Friday, investigators were advised that 29 year old Adam Hawhee is in custody in Miami, Florida. Hawhee is wanted out of Douglas County on two counts of Child Enticement and 26 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
