red light cameras. gieng, i m dan ashley. i m cheryl jennings vic lee went out to get answers about a sharp jump in the tickets in millbrae. he s live to explain what he found today. vic? this is a one of three intersections that have cameras the sheriff s office tells us they have answers for us tonight but not all. this is one of three intersections where millbrae cameras are located. the others in el camino. last week, an editor e mailed the millbrae city council saying there was a huge spike in the red light camera ticketing. in april, generating 669 tickets. in may, a jump of 1525 tickets, that is 856 tickets more than the previous month. more than double the number. san mateo county sheriff s office says it s looking into this spike. thank you for bringing this to our attention. angela louis says they found this camera at 101 off ramp may be the culprit. it was taken down for three weeks. at this time we re looking into seeing if the camera that is placed
