A recent constitutional amendment states that Mexican nationality can be passed on indefinitely to generations born outside of Mexico, regardless of whether or not the parents were born in Mexican territory.
The change benefits both descendants of Mexican immigrants living abroad, as well as border residents with dual citizenship.
In 2019, it was estimated that nearly 11 million Mexican-born individuals lived in the U.S., according to an article by the Migration Policy Institute (MPI).
Even though the constitutional amendment was enacted last May, some people were able to receive Mexican nationality before it was stipulated in the law. Here are some reasons.

Sie sind gleichsam seine Geiseln, nicht einmal Anwälte dürfen zu ihnen. Aber auch Studenten, Journalisten und arme Bauern werden verhaftet. Es gibt Vorwürfe der Folter und des sexuellen Missbrauchs.
