DTM Somalia: Cross Border Movements – Somalia (February 2021) Format In February 2021, a total of 19,301 movements were observed at Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs). This represents a decrease of -19% in comparison to December 2020, when 23,901 movements were oberved. Buuhoodle, Dhobley, Bossaso, Cabudwaq and Lowyacado FMPs recorded a decrease in movements between these two periods (-67%, -29%, -28%, -15% and -10%, respectively). Harirad and Doolow FMPs recorded an increase in movements (322% and 46%, respectively). Contrary to February 2020, this month saw a majority of incoming flows (53%) against outgoing flows (47%). Bossaso, Harirad, Buuhoodle and Dhobley FMPs recorded the highest levels of incoming flows (33%, 16%, 12% and 12% respectively), while Doolow, Bossaso and Dhobley recorded the highest number of outgoing flows (45%, 21% and 14% respectively). ....

This represents an increase of 6% in comparison with November 2020 when 18,434 movements were observed. Dhobley, Lowyacado, Cabudwaq, Bosasso and Doolow FMPs recorded an increase in movements between these two periods (25%, 14%, 10%, 5% and 5% respectively). Buuhoole and Harirad FMPs recorded a decrease in movements ( -5%, and -1% respectively). Similar to November 2020, this month saw a majority of incoming flows (71%) against outgoing flows (29%). Bossaso, Harirad and Cabudwaq FMPs recorded the highest levels of incoming flows (25%, 20% and 16% respectively), while Dhobley, Doolow and Bossaso recorded the highest number of outgoing flows (30%, 28% and 25% respectively). ....

Bosasso, Cabudwaq, Lowyacado and Haridad FMPs recorded a decrease in movements between these two periods (-27%, -34%, -22% and -1% respectively). Buuhoodle, Dhobley and Dollow FMPs recorded an increase in movements ( 46%, 1%, and 1% respectively). Similar to October 2020, this month saw a majority of incoming flows (76%) against outgoing flows (24%). Bossaso, Harirad and Doolow FMPs recorded the highest levels of incoming flows (26%, 20% and 17% respectively), while Dhobley, Bossaso and Doolow recorded the highest number of outgoing flows (26%, 25% and 25% respectively). ....
