firearms. for that reason, some of those states in the midwest have some more lax laws. we saw that in wisconsin with the rittenhouse case. they have laws that contemplate minors using firearms under the direction of their parents. it s no surprise that there may not be sufficient firearms legislation. but at the same time, michigan is a state that wants its minors, at least, has chosen to allow its minors to use firearms in order to go hunting with their parents. at least when i was in high school, boys got a week off to go hunting from school. i was the only kid left in school because i don t hunt. but this is a culture and a legislature that is elected to allow its minors to press firearms under certain situations. it s no surprise that the prosecutor here charged around theory of manslaughter for which the path has already been trod by the appeals courts and she knows that if she has the evidence, a conviction is possible for these four counts. which with a 15-year maximum
