New mayor appointed in Estherwood

The Estherwood Board of Aldermen have appointed an interim mayor.
At a meeting last week, they appointed Mayor Pro Tem Donna Bertrand to take over the post until an election can be held to replace Mayor Donald Popp Sr., who died earlier this month. To read about him, click here.
The election to replace Popp permanently will be held this fall. The winner will serve out the remainder of the current term.
