Tuscola woman indicted on attempt to run over ex-boyfriend with vehicle

A Taylor County grand jury Thursday indicted a woman who attempted to strike her ex-boyfriend with her vehicle. Judy Eads, of Tuscola, was indicted on one count of aggravated assault stemming from a Nov. 20 incident. According to court documents, an Abilene police officer reported observing a white Nissan in a parking lot sped up towards an individual, causing him to dodge. Eads, the documents said, admitted to going to her ex-boyfriend s place of employment, upset about their breakup. She then struck him in the face, the documents said, and attempted to strike him with her vehicle. She said she didn t intend to run him over and was just angry at him for  leading her on.

Don Walton: This will be an especially welcome new year

One of them is that it won t be 2020 anymore. This year is doomed to be remembered as the year of the great pandemic with its awful toll of death and disease, its isolation and overhanging cloud of dread, its economic destruction. But history also will remember this year s dramatic presidential election that moved America off a path that might have taken us into new, uncharted and perhaps even hazardous or perilous territory during the following four years. Post-election developments this year may provide just a taste. We will return now to a more familiar path that has been followed by both Republican and Democratic presidents, beginning in late January.
