When you have been growing grapes for over 120 years it’s safe to say that you don’t merely have a deep understanding of your land, but also a profound love for it, and a desire to pass it on in perfect condition to the next generation. So it’s perhaps no surprise that Bodegas Corral, with a long, proud history of grape growing in the heart of Rioja, should be so thoroughly committed to an ambitious ecological programme. The winery’s first vines were planted by Saturnino Daroca back in 1898 in the small village of Sojuela. His daughter married one Martin Corral, and the winery has carried the latter’s name ever since. ....
