port. i m dan ashley. the general strike con as we speak though not of the same strength and intensity as it was today. a large group of people are still there. truckers feeling frustrated tonight. they are sitting idle, can t go anywhere until the protesters leave. alan wang will begin the coverage live in oakland tonight. alan, what do you have? reporter: the trucks stranded here since late this afternoon finally beginning to move after sitting idle for hours. the protesters are also beginning to stream back. earlier they walked to the end of the port, lately, for the past hour we have seen them streaming back. the port of oakland shut down operations at 6:15 tonight and about a half hour ago organizers claimed victory and told the crowd to meet back at the plaza. the march start to began at 4:00 as thousands marched to downtown oakland. they crossed voter tracks around settled at the first intersection where the last few trucks trying to leave for the day got swall ....
