Share The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) Kaduna State Chapter has extended an olive branch to the Southern Kaduna People’s Union (SOKAPU) particularly on the need for the two groups to dialogue. This was even as it said the era of violence and brutality as solutions to solving problems have since been phased out. This was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of MACBAN Haruna Usman Tugga and made available to media in Kaduna on Sunday. According to Tugga, advanced discussion, dialogue and shifting grounds in order to accommodate other tribal groups with opposing views should be deployed by the two groups, adding that SOKAPU should also tread on that path. ....

The Southern Kaduna Peoples Union, SOKAPU, has observed with dismay that there is a plot against the Agyap land and its people following the continuous detention of the 15 Atyap community leaders by the Kaduna State Police Command. SOKAPU, in a statement through its spokesman, Luka Binniyat, observed that since July last year, no less than 100 Atyap natives have been killed on their ancestral lands and at least 24 villages destroyed and hundreds of hectares of farmlands with growing crops grazed by cattle. SOKAPU lamented, “Not a single Fulani leader has been called for questioning not to talk of being detained. We also said that under Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, that has been the style of justice – victims are dragged and punished, while the alleged murderers are walking free with no consequence to their actions.” ....

Share Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) in charge of security in Plateau State and some parts of neighbouring Kaduna and Bauchi States has arrested 17 suspected kidnappers and six other criminal elements terrorising inhabitants of Plateau State. The OPSH Commander, Major General Dominic Onyemulu, in his address said the 17 suspected kidnappers were arrested March 16, 2021, following a distress call on attempt kidnap of one Alhaji Gambo Yamuro from his residence at Lishin village Jengre, Pengana Chiefdom of Bassa local government area of the state. ....
