LAFAYETTE, La. - COVID-19 testing and flu vaccines will be conducted in a drive-thru setting.
Masks must be worn at all times and patients should remain in their vehicles. There should be no more than four people per vehicle.
Members of the community should bring a valid ID and insurance card, if applicable.
There are no out-of-pocket costs for those seeking a test or vaccine, and no one will be turned away based on their insurance status.
COVID-19 testing is available to those of all ages; however, flu vaccines will only be administered to patients 18 and older in the drive-thru setting.
Hospital clarifies vaccine only for health care workers

LAFAYETTE, La. - Ochsner Lafayette General is clarifying that COVID-19 vaccines are not available to the general public.
On Tuesday, health care workers at the hospital received the vaccine. Those who work closest with COVID-19 patients are getting the shots first and the vaccination process for health care workers will continue through January.
On Wednesday, a line of people at the hospital s COVID testing and flu vaccine site were waiting to get the COVID vaccine, which are not available to the general public yet, according to a spokesperson for the hospital.

The Louisiana Department of Health is partnering with several organizations to offer free COVID-19 testing and flu vaccinations over the next week. All sites are subject to change due to weather.
Testing is available this Saturday, December 12, from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. at 718 South Buchanan Street presented by Representative Vincent Pierre and Ocshner Lafayette General. Flu vaccinations are also offered at this site.
Ocshner Lafayette General is also offering COVID-19 testing and flu vaccines next week from Wednesday-Friday, December 16-18. Testing will be offered at Domingue s Recreational Center, located at 901 Mudd Ave. in Lafayette, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
