An Iowa City woman who lives with her former boyfriend as “roommates” has been arrested after allegedly fighting with the man during a dispute over a television remote. That’s according to Iowa City Police, who took 50-year-old Dava Bryan into custody Tuesday afternoon.
Officers were called to Bryan’s Wintergreen Drive residence just before 1:30 Tuesday afternoon for a reported domestic assault. A man at the residence reported that he and Bryan, his ex-girlfriend, had been arguing over the remote to the bedroom television when she punched him in the face. Arriving officers discovered the television and the TV stand had been overturned. Bryan allegedly told them she was, “sorry about that.” ....
