STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A nor’easter slammed Staten Island late Sunday and intensified as Monday progressed, before switching over to freezing rain Monday evening.
The storm dumped a foot of snow on the borough, and forecasters say it’s possible we may get a little more overnight.

Public school buildings will be closed again on Tuesday. Catholic elementary schools will be having another snow day.
