'It's actually really important to get that second dose,' doctors with Gundersen Health System urge

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Doctors at Gundersen Health System say some patients are skipping their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Updated recommendations from the CDC say you should get your second dose with in six weeks of your first dose.
Doctors say getting the second doses will help keep community members safe.
“There was just another study released that said that the protective response is a bit unpredictable if you only get one dose. So it’s actually really important to get that second dose,” said Dr. Raj Naik of Gundersen.
Naik says Gundersen is working community partners to improve vaccine accessibility to ensure that people can get a full vaccine series at easily as possible. ....
