KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) has decided to allow activities to enliven mosques, Friday surau and surau in the conditional movement control order areas in the Federal Territories from Friday (Feb 19). This is following the government’s decision to implement the CMCO in the Federal Territories of Putrajaya and Labuan starting from today until March 4, and extending the MCO in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur until March 4. KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Marriage solemnisation ceremonies are allowed to be held at all mosques and at the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) offices in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan, from Monday (Feb 8). According to the guidelines issued by Jawi during the movement control order, only five people are allowed to attend, namely the bride and bridegroom, wali (guardian) and two representatives of the couple. The marriage official and two witnesses must also be from Jawi and the mosque where the ceremony is held. For brides and bridegrooms from different states that are in red zones, the number of attendees is also restricted to five people,” according to the guidelines updated on Sunday (Feb 7). ....
