DRDO to build three Covid hospitals in Lucknow; to add 2000 beds

Additionally, a greenfield 1000-bed Covid facility requested by the UP CM will also be built with the help of DRDO from scratch, on the lines of the Sardar Patel Covid Care Centre brought up in Delhi last year. With the covid situation in Lucknow turning grim, putting extreme pressure on bed availability, union minister of defence and member of parliament from Lucknow, Rajnath Singh has directed the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to construct two makeshift hospitalisation facilities totalling about 600 beds for Covid patients on a war footing in the district. ....
