Each Saturday, our community affairs radio program This Week in Central New York provides three interviews with guests from Chenango, Delaware, and Otsego Counties. ‘Week of Young Child’ to be Celebrated in Chenango County
This year marks the 50th anniversary of The Week of the Young Child. Many Chenango County groups are banding together to make this a memorable week of celebration, albeit an online one.
Groups participating include The Place, the Family Enrichment Network, several local educators and more. A significant role in this celebratory week will be played by SUNY Morrisville s campus in Norwich. According to Margaret Hoose, who is with the Division of Human Society and Development at SUNY Morrisville,a hundred activity kits have been sent out to families to keep them connected during the week with each day representing a different activity involving arts, food preparation, reading and more.
