A 65-year-old man was rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard on Saturday after his 38-foot sailing vessel capsized 135 miles east of Daytona Beach, according to the Coast Guard.
The man was hoisted from the ship by a helicopter and taken to Daytona International Airport to receive treatment for lacerations and a broken arm.
The mane sent a message to a dispatch center saying he had experienced a head injury and his vessel was taking on water. ....

FLORIDA| The first sign something was wrong came Tuesday when Bahamian authorities reached out to the U.S. Coast Guardâs Southeast Division to alert them that 20 people aboard a blue and white 29-foot Mako Cuddy Cabin vessel had gone missing. The passengers were in the oft-cited Bermuda Triangle.
The group, yet to be identified, was last known to have left Bimini on Monday en route to Lake Worth, the Coast Guard learned. They should have arrived that day.
But something went wrong somewhere in the waters between the Bahamas and South Florida â an area that encompasses the mythical section of the Atlantic oft-dubbed the Bermuda Triangle or Devilâs Triangle, unofficially bounded by Miami, Bermuda and Puerto Rico and covering about 500,000 square miles of ocean off the southeastern tip of Florida, according to the History Channel. ....

LAKE WORTH, Fla. â The U.S. Coast Guard said Friday the search for an overdue vessel between the Bahamas and South Florida has been suspended.
The 29-foot Mako Cuddy Cabin was last known to have departed Bimini Monday heading to Lake Worth Beach but not arriving at the destination.
The Coast Guard said they were alerted Wednesday by the Royal Bahamas Defence Force asking for help locating the boat with reportedly 20 people on board. ....

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended the search for 29-foot boat missing between the Bahamas and south Florida that didn’t arrive to its destination.
Coast Guard District Seven received a report Tuesday that a blue and white 29-foot Mako Cuddy Cabin vessel, last known to be departing Bimini, Bahamas on Monday did not arrive as expected to its destination of Lake Worth.
The Coast Guard and partner agencies searched approximately 17,000 square miles, roughly double the size of Massachusetts, for about 84 hours, according to the U.S. Coast Guard 7th District Southeast. ....
