Dish TV is holding an EGM on March 21 to appoint three directors. Remote e-voting will be available from March 18 to March 20. Dish TV previously appointed Sunil Khanna and Ravi Bhushan Puri as directors. The company faced fines for board composition-related violations.
The Bank approached had the High Court stating that despite being the largest shareholder (25.63% of DishTV’s share capital), it was not able to convene an EGM.
The resolution for the reappointment of Dish TV CEO Anil Kumar Dua as a WholeTime Director of the company also failed to get consent though it received 73.89% of the total votes polled in its favour
Yes Bank, Dish TV’s largest shareholder with a 25.63% stake, will ask the NCLT to direct the firm to either share shareholder details so it can call the meeting on its own, or instruct it to set a date for an EGM, the report said
