The World Bank has proposed closing all tax exemptions and including agriculture, retail, and real estate in the tax bracket to help Pakistan generate revenue. The bank suggests that if agriculture income and properties are properly taxed, it could contribute about three percent of the country s GDP annually. Additionally, real estate and agriculture are expected to yield two percent and one percent of GDP, respectively.
