A Kisumu-based medical NGO has landed Dutch’s PharmAccess Foundation standards licence, SafeCare, to assess hospital quality in the region.
Kisumu Medical and Education Trust (KMET) signed a three-year licence agreement to use SafeCare brand, standards, tools and methodology for the assessment and certification of healthcare institutions.
Monica Oguttu, KMET executive director, said the quality tests would help local hospitals get insurance accreditation and help market them.
