Black Diamond Equipment bails on downtown store

Outdoor gear retailer Black Diamond Equipment has nixed its plans for a store in downtown Denver.
Retail Director Devin Gillette told BusinessDen in an email Monday that the Salt Lake City-based company no longer plans to open a store within Market Station, a new development that takes up most of a city block along the 16th Street Mall.
BizWest reported in February that stores were in the works in both Boulder and Denver.
The store along Pearl Street in Boulder is still happening, Gillette said this week, and should open in June. ....
