ASUNCION (Reuters) - Paraguay's senate on Wednesday expelled one of the few opposition voices in national politics, sparking protests in the capital Asuncion and concerns over the fragile state of the country's democracy.
Paraguayan lawmakers took to the Mercosur Parliament (Parlasur) in Montevideo the crisis stemming from Argentina charging tolls to barges sailing through the Paraná River Waterway, it was reported Monday in the Uruguayan capital.
