Greetings and salutations, 11W. It’s been a long time since I last posted a lengthy, lacrosse focused bit on here. Lots of life changes led to the delay, but I’m going to pick things up as best I can. Ohio State’s men’s lacrosse team officially scrimmages another team on January 27", so time is running short. There’s a whole lot to get into, with coaching changes, personnel changes (heads up: this is a whole new team), and a much rougher schedule than is advisable with the unknowns on the roster and staff. First things, as always, first. ....
When it rains it pours. Almost 24 hours after posting a preview for the 2025 recruiting class, the Buckeyes FINALLY dropped their fall roster. And it is. something. The final count was somewhat a mystery, but it looks like the Buckeyes have 24 (!) first year players. That's half the flipping roster. I am just aghast. The scary part is that there are another 10 players who are upperclassmen without any meaningful minutes on this roster. Which means the staff couldn't find more suitable replacements and kept them around for bodies at practice. ....
